The Best Advice Yet…
So I read an article in Sixty Magazine today… and it really spoke to me. I loved the portrait, and the sound advice, from Professor Mark Fenske to everyone who didn’t make the cut for acceptance into the Brandcenter this year.
I’m finally beginning to realize that looking for ads in Cosmo is like shopping for high fashion at K-Mart… so I’m getting a subscription to Communcation Arts Magazine, and probably CMYK, and I’ll just go from there.
You can’t build anything without a solid foundation and my foundation is made out of jello. The article is exactly on target - people like me, don’t know the first thing about advertising, or creating an great ad, heck, I don’t even know how to create a mediocre ad… So here’s to self improvement. I’m going to spend the evening on Amazon, attempting to find a decent book on advertising.
